Bookbury Audio is a company I founded in 2023. Classically trained in theatre and voice, I’ve found that some of the most compelling stories emerge from behind the mic. I’ve discovered a love for connecting more deeply with literature, the author’s craft, and audiences in this uniquely intimate and nuanced way. Since then, I’ve been fortunate to work with great authors and publishers, exploring diverse stories while continuing to refine clarity, presence, and the emotional authority I strive for in every narration. ​ I grew up in a culturally rich and artistic environment, learning early to be curious, think globally, and celebrate differences. As a child, I gravitated toward epic sagas and mystical worlds, and was drawn to brave heroines traversing the terrain of their own hearts and historic, foreign lands. Today, I continue to embrace stories that inspire, challenge, and transport. The genres I gravitate toward include Popular, Literary, and Historical Fiction, Epic Fantasy, Romantic Comedy, International Classics, and Poetry, with experience and interest in Mystery, Cozy Mystery, Psychological and International Thriller. In nonfiction, I enjoy Self Help & Spirituality, Health & Nutrition, Art, Philosophy, Culture, and Psychology, with a personal focus on civil rights, global humanitarianism, and environmental issues. Whether resurrecting classics, supporting an indie author’s vision, exploring educational tomes, or adding nuance to a bestseller, I aim to amplify great writing with the range and depth of my voice and experience (please see my 'About' page). Outside of the studio, I enjoy parks, gardens, museums, and urban xeriscape gardening. A proud native Coloradan, I hike, camp, ski, and collect mushrooms in the Alpine Rockies when I can. I enjoy DIY projects, arranging flowers from my garden, and creating healthy concoctions with my herbal apothecary. My volunteerism has included The Peace Alliance Campaign to create a United States Department of Peacebuilding. My interest in cultural bridge-building began with my studies through the American Soviet Theatre Initiative, an experience that continues to inform my purpose. Thanks for reading!
